Hall of Fame
The 2011-12 Ranger Women’s Basketball team followed up the previous year’s success with another historic year. The team went 24-6 overall, winning the GLVC East Division title with a record of 15-3. Head Coach Jenny Knight-Kenesie was tabbed the GLVC Coach of the Year. Additionally, Jadee Rooney and Brittany Beyer were unanimous All-GLVC First Team selections. Amy Selk was named All-GLVC Second Team, and to the All-Defensive team. Jaleesa Trussell was also named to the All-Defensive team. The Rangers had a season-high winning streak of nine games. Parkside was again awarded an at-large bid into the NCAA Division II Tournament, earning the number three seed in the Midwest Region. The Rangers opened the tournament with a 73-66 win over Indianapolis. The Rangers then clinched their second straight trip to the Sweet 16, defeating Ferris State 71-57.
