Christie-Orvold will go down as one of the best distance runners in school history. Hope was a five-time NCAA Division II National Championship qualifier and an NCAA Division II All-American. She was a three-time GLVC All-Conference athlete in the mile, a four-time GLVC All-Academic team in track and field and cross country. She was also a four-time Academic All-American in track and field and cross country. She was a two-time Parkside team captain and was the 2012 recipient of the GLVC Paragon Award. Christie-Orvold still sits in the top ten on the performance list in multiple distance events.
