Hall of Fame
Ben Orvold is one of the most decorated runners in Parkside history. Orvold was a six-time NCAA National Qualifier, including making the first ever NCAA men's cross country National Qualifier. He also placed ninth nationally in the 5k at the 2012 NCAA Division II Indoor Championships and 12th in the 10k  at the 2012 NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships. He was. GLVC record holder and earned All-Conference recognition eight times. As of his induction to the hall of fame in 2024, Orvold still holds the Parkside 5000-meter indoor school record and the outdoor 10,000m record. He was a multi-time All-GLVC Academic award winner and was on the Parkside academic honors list six out of seven semesters.
