BAY CITY, Mich. -- Doug Martin has been named the GLIAC Runner of the Week after multiple strong performances at the GVSU Big Meet this weekend.

On Friday, Martin delivered a career best performance in the 800 meters, shattering a school record, and hitting NCAA Provo with a time of 1:48.70 which is the fourth fastest in the nation. Martin followed that up competing in the Distance Medley Relay which hit NCAA Provo on Saturday and the 4x400 relay.

Martin and the Rangers will return to action on Saturday February 21^st, at the Lake Michigan Open held inside the Franke Petretti Fieldhouse. Saturday will also be senior day for the Parkside Track and Field program.
