MULTIPLE LOCATIONS – The Parkside men's track and field team was in multiple locations on Saturday with a portion of the team in Kenosha at the Tadd Metzger Multi, and another group in Allendale at the GVSU Mike Lints Alumni Meet.
Simon Dominic hit NCAA Provo in the high jump with a mark of 2.15m, which is currently fifth nationally.
Carson Hull and
Ian Liburd also set school records in the Heptathlon and 60 meter dash.
AT THE TADD METZGER MULTI
Simon Dominic delivered the top performance of the day for the Rangers, winning the high jump with a clearance of 2.15 meters. The mark meets NCAA Division II provisional qualifying standards and currently ranks fifth nationally in Division II this season.
In the heptathlon,
Carson Hull set a new school record by winning the event with a score of 4,527 points. Teammate
Nick Katsma added to Parkside's success in the multi events with a second-place finish, scoring 4,374 points.
In the vertical jumps,
Ryan Peel placed second in the pole vault with a best mark of 4.36 meters. In the horizontal jumps,
Lincoln Myer recorded multiple top-five finishes, placing fifth in the long jump at 6.68 meters and fourth in the triple jump with a mark of 13.23 meters.
Ariel Molina added an eighth-place finish in the long jump (6.41 meters) and placed eighth in the triple jump at 12.34 meters.
In the throws,
Kaelan McDonough led the Rangers in the weight throw, placing sixth with a best mark of 13.91 meters, while
Cooper Vail finished eighth at 13.74 meters.
Zander Garlock added a 10th-place finish in the weight throw (12.77 meters) and competed in the shot put, where he recorded a mark of 11.26 meters.
AT THE GVSU MIKE LINTS ALUMNI MEET
Ian Liburd turned in the top performance of the meet for the Rangers, winning the 60 meters in 6.85 to set a new Parkside school record. Liburd advanced to the final after running 6.91 in the preliminaries.
Jalon Rose also reached the 60-meter final, placing ninth with a time of 7.07, after running 7.10 in the prelims.
In the 200 meters, Parkside claimed the top two overall finishes. Freshman
Ramere Jackson won the event with a time of 22.84, followed closely by
Mikhail Bolden in second at 22.86.
Zander Dezarn finished seventh overall in 23.04.
In the 400 meters,
Michael Hendrix led the Rangers with a runner-up finish, running 49.60.
Carter Peet followed with a fifth-place finish in 50.28. In the mile,
Cayton Cratch led the Rangers with a fifth-place finish in 4:20.68.
In the hurdles,
Máté Pesti placed sixth in the 60-meter hurdles final with a time of 8.31, while Hendrix finished ninth in 8.65. Hendrix posted an 8.24 in the preliminaries, and Pesti ran 8.45 to advance.
The Parkside 4x400 relay team of
Carter Peet,
Levi Krautkramer,
Jacob Jones, and
Thomas Stiltner finished fourth with a time of 3:26.23.
