Eau Claire, Wis. --- The Parkside Rangers Wrestling team sent eight Rangers to compete in the Don Parker Open hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. Three more Rangers also competed unattached to the team.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Competing at 133-pounds, sophomore
Joey Roti won two matches on the day and both were in major decisions. Roti went 2-2 on Saturday as his second win came in the 7
th place match. Sophomore
Matthew Chi also competed in the 133-pound bracket where he started his day with a big 19-3 win by technical fall. Chi lost his second round match but went on the win the next three via major decision, pin, and decision.Chi went on to win the consolation bracket.
At 141-pounds, redshirt sophomore
Jordan Craft finished in fourth place in the bracket as he went 2-2 on Saturday. Craft started out 2-0 but lost in his semifinal and third place matches. Redshirt junior
Luke Hooker competed at 174-pounds where he also went 2-2 on Saturday. Hooker was able to pin his opponent in the first consolation round and earned a 5-2 decision in the second consolation round.
Freshman
Joe Swanson returned to action in the 197-pound bracket but was forced to settle with a 1-2 record on the day. Swanson was able to get a 16-0 technical fall in the first consolation round. At 285-pounds, redshirt Junior
Nate Lloyd settled with an 0-2 record on Saturday, losing his final match by just one point.
Competing unattached from the Parkside team was freshman
Lowell Arnold who won his first match due to a pin in the fifth minute. Arnold went on the win his third round match thanks to another pin just one minute into the match. Also competing unattached was redshirt sophomore
Isaac Riddle who won his first round match in a 5-2 decision. Riddle went on the lose his next two matches and finished the day with a 1-2 record. Freshman
Brody Hemauer also competed unattached from the team at 174-pounds where he won his first match in a 19-2 technical fall. Hemauer then went onto get a pin in the second round before losing his final match in a 6-2 decision.
