BAY CITY, Mich. – University of Wisconsin-Parkside redshirt sophomore
Easton Worachek has been selected as a 2026 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Winter Commissioner's Award recipient, the league announced. The honor is awarded following the fall, winter, and spring seasons to six male and six female student-athletes who excel both in the classroom and in competition.
A native of Luxemburg, Wisconsin and a graduate of Luxemburg Casco Highschool, Worachek has distinguished himself as one of the nation's top wrestlers, while also excelling in the classroom. A business management major, Easton holds a 3.960 cumulative grade-point average on a 4.0 scale.
On the mat, Worachek played a key role in leading the Rangers to a historic 2025–26 season, finishing as national runners-up for the first time in program history. He earned NCAA All-American honors with a fourth-place finish at the NCAA Championships and was the runner-up at the NCAA Super Region V Championships.
Worachek compiled a 28–7 overall record this past season, highlighted by a title at the Jim Koch Wisconsin Open and runner-up finishes at both the Findlay Open and Midwest Classic. He recorded six ranked wins on the year, along with three falls, two technical falls, and seven major decisions.
