(Feb. 18, 2016)-- The 14th-ranked University of Wisconsin-Parkside men's basketball squad ran roughshod over Great Lakes Valley Conference East Division rival Saint Joseph's College on Thursday night, cruising to the 94-67 victory inside DeSimone Gymnasium for the Rangers sixth consecutive win.

The opening five minutes saw four lead changes and two ties before the host and GLVC East Division leading Rangers (21-3, 14-2 GLVC) ripped off 14 consecutive points to stake a 23-9 lead with 10:43 left in the first half.
Kyle Flanagan started the run, converting a layup while
Jake Verhagen and
Alexander Brown both drained threes during the spurt.

The Pumas (8-17, 4-12 GLVC) whittled the gap to just seven with 6:48 remaining before halftime but UW-Parkside casually scored the next nine, reestablishing a 16-point buffer. The Rangers continued to pull away, seizing a 52-31 lead at the intermission.

Parkside maintained a comfortable 19-point cushion the entire second half en route to the 27-point win, the Rangers 17th victory in 18 games and their fourth consecutive contest that the team has scored at least 90 points. The game also extended the program's GLVC home winning streak to 32 games.

Kendale McCullum paced the home side with 22 points and eight assists as all 13 Rangers to see the court scored at least a point. Brown added 16 points with
Andy Mazurczak and
Chavares Flanigan adding 13 and 11 points, respectively.
Kyle Flanagan added eight points along with a game-high 10 rebounds.

Davone Daniels came off the bench and paced SJC, collecting 14 points while Jordan Seele and Nathan Tidwell each chipped in 13 points. Tidwell additionally added nine rebounds to lead the Pumas.

UW-Parkside enjoyed a 50-28 scoring advantage in the paint and an 18-6 edge in second chance buckets. The Green and White shot 54.7 percent (35-for-64) from the field while limiting the Pumas to shooting at a 35.5 percent clip (22-for-62).

Parkside closes out its regular season home slate on Saturday, squaring off against GLVC East rival University of Indianapolis with tipoff slated for 3 p.m.
