SOMERS, Wis. (Nov. 28, 2015)-- The University of Wisconsin-Parkside men's basketball team had its 16-game home winning streak come to a halt on Saturday afternoon, succumbing 84-58 to 18th-ranked Ferris State University in a non-conference tilt inside DeSimone Gymnasium.

The visiting Bulldogs (6-0) led wire-to-wire, shooting a blazing 64.5 percent (20-for-31) in the opening half, including a 55.6 percent clip (five-for-nine) from beyond the arc.

Ferris State tallied the opening five points of the contest and opened up a 15-point buffer just 10 minutes into the game on a James Chappell layup. The Rangers (4-1) reduced the gap to 11 on a Goran Zagorac layup with 8:08 left in the first stanza but Ferris State's red-hot offense continued to pull away, owning a 49-32 lead at the halftime intermission.

The Bulldogs enjoyed a double digit lead the entire second half, sending the Rangers their first setback inside DeSimone Gymnasium since the 2014-2015 home opener against Walsh University.

Zagorac finished the afternoon in double figures, securing 10 points and 13 rebounds with eight of his boards coming on the offensive end. Alexander Brown had a team-high 11 points off the bench while Kendale McCullum chipped in nine points.

UW-Parkside shot an anemic 29.3 percent (17-for-58) from the field, including just 9.1 percent (one-for-11) from distance while Ferris State closed the night shooting 54.2 percent (32-for-59) from the floor and 41.2 percent (seven-for-17) from three-point land. The Rangers won the turnover battled 7-to-10 but was unable to generate points from those opportunities as FSU enjoyed a 13-5 edge in points off turnovers.
