Ben Orvold is on some kind of run, literally. At the University of Minnesota's Griak Invitational on Saturday, Orvold finished in third place out of 334 runners in the Maroon Race for NCAA Division II schools. He was clocked in 25:25 behind only Kelly Wiebe (24:54) of Regina and Abednego Magut (25:11) of Azusa Pacific.

Orvold's charge led the Rangers to a second place finish as a team out of 28 squads.

Alex Mena, 27:08, 48th; Cody Kurschiedt, 27:08, 49th; and

UW-Parkside's team score was 158. The landslide winner was Augustana of South Dakota will a low tally of 60. Concordia of Nebraska was third, 171.
