RICHMOND, Ky. – The Parkside men's golf team delivered one of the top performances in program history this weekend at the Findlay Spring Invitational, a 54-hole event held March 23–24 at Boone's Trace National Golf Club. The Rangers posted a team score of 875 (+11), the third-lowest 54-hole total in program history, to finish tied for ninth in a highly competitive field featuring several Midwest region opponents.
Tyler Reiter led Parkside with a tie for 33rd place at +4 (75–72–73). His even-par 72 in round two included five birdies, and he totaled 10 birdies over the three rounds.
Aleck Simms and Ryan Lingelbach each tied for 41st at +5. Simms rebounded from a second-round 79 with an impressive three-under 69 in the final round, highlighted by five birdies and just two bogeys, including a two-under 34 on the front nine. Lingelbach opened with back-to-back rounds of 72 before closing with a 77 and recorded eight birdies across the tournament.
Hayden Underhill tied for 47th at +6 (72–74–76), while Shane Stanley finished tied for 55th at +7 (76–75–72). Stanley's final round featured three birdies en route to an even-par 72.
The Rangers will return to action March 30–31 at the Flyer Spring Invitational in Bolingbrook, Illinois, hosted at Bolingbrook Golf Club.
