AUGUSTA, Mich. – The Parkside men's golf team delivered a historic performance Thursday and Friday at the GLIAC Championships, held at Stoatin Brae Golf Course, breaking the program record for lowest 54-hole team score. The Rangers posted an 866 total to finish sixth in a highly competitive conference field.
Parkside's performance was highlighted by four individual rounds under par across the three-day event.
Aleck Simms led the Rangers with a tie for 10th place at even par (69–74–70). Simms went under par in two of his three rounds and totaled 10 birdies on the weekend, including five in the final round.
Tyler Reiter followed closely with a tie for 13th at +1 (71–69–74). Reiter opened with an even-par 71 before firing a two-under 69 in round two that featured five birdies.
Ryan Lingelbach finished in a tie for 27th at +7 (70–76–74). He got off to a strong start with a one-under 70 in round one, highlighted by a five-under 30 on the back nine.
Shane Stanley tied for 30th at +8 (77–71–73), recording an eagle in the final round with a 2 on the par-four eighth hole—his second eagle of the season.
Hayden Underhill rounded out the lineup with a tie for 35th at +13 (77–74–75).
