SCOUTING ST. CLOUD STATE:
St. Cloud State (1-0-1) enters the weekend all too familiar with GLIAC opponents already this season after opening its season with a 1-1 draw at Northern Michigan and a 1-0 road victory at Michigan Tech. Parkside will serve as its third and final GLIAC foe of the non-conference slate. The Huskies were picked fourth in the NSIC preseason coaches' poll following an 11-4-5 overall record in 2024, which included a second straight NCAA Tournament berth and an 8-1-5 mark in conference play. Senior forward Ellie Primerano, who scored the game-winner at Michigan Tech, and junior midfielder Grace Olson, who tallied the equalizer at Northern Michigan, lead the attack, while goalkeeper Jaylee Strickland owns eight saves through two matches. In the first ever meeting between the two teams last year, Parkside fell 1-0 at home.
SCOUTING CONCORDIA–ST. PAUL:
Concordia–St. Paul (2-0-0) comes into the week riding momentum after a pair of 1-0 wins over Nebraska-Kearney and Minot State to open the season. The Golden Bears were tabbed second in the NSIC preseason poll and return several all-conference players, including forward Sophia Haase, who scored the game-winner against Nebraska-Kearney, and midfielder Belle Abruzzo, who notched the lone goal versus Minot State. Senior goalkeeper Sydney Potter remains unblemished through 180 minutes with back-to-back shutouts. Parkside holds a commanding 6-1-1 all-time series advantage over Concordia–St. Paul, including victories in each of the last two meetings in 2022 and 2023.
