Kenosha, Wis. – Parkside men's cross country standout Doug Martin has been named the first Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Men's Runner of the Week for the 2025 season, the league announced on Monday.

Martin earned the honor after an impressive performance at the season-opening Vic Godfrey Open on Saturday. The junior finished second overall in a field of 103 runners, clocking a time of 18:42.27 in the men's 6k race. His strong effort helped lead the Rangers to a second-place team finish in the meet.

Martin and the Rangers return to action on Saturday, September 27, when they host the Lucian Rosa Invitational at 11:00 a.m. on the Wayne E. Dannehl National Cross Country Course.
