Parkside Volleyball Opens 2025 Season at the UIndy Invitational

Kenosha, Wis. – The Parkside Rangers are set to kick off their 2025 volleyball campaign at the UIndy Invitational, opening the season against some of the Midwest region's top competition. The Rangers will travel to Indianapolis for a three-match slate, beginning with host UIndy before facing Tiffin and Thomas More. The Rangers look to start their season strong after finishing the 2024 season with an overall record of 11-17 under Leigh Barera, entering her eighth season as head coach.

*All games will be played at the Ruth Lilly Fitness Center on the University of Indianapolis campus. 

Scouting UIndy:
The Greyhounds finished the 2024 season with an overall record of 19-11. In her first season as head coach, Haley Case will make her coaching debut for the program this weekend. UIndy returns Claire Morris, a Redshirt-senior Setter, who earned 2024 All-GLVC first-team honors. The team was selected to finish sixth in the 2025 GLVC volleyball preseason coaches' poll. This will mark the first match up between Parkside and UIndy since 2017, with UIndy leading the all-time series 20-3. 

Scouting Tiffin University: 
The Dragons finished the 2024 season with an overall record of 13-14. Tiffin was picked to place fourth in the G-MAC North Division in the 2025 preseason coaches poll. The G-MAC will feature three divisions (North, South and East). Heading Tiffin University Volleyball is Cary Clark, who will make his coaching debut for the program. Parkside last faced Tiffin in 2023, where the Rangers secured a three-set victory. The Rangers lead the overall series 5-0. 

Scouting Thomas More University: 
The Saints completed the 2024 season with an overall record of 5-10. Thomas More was picked to finish third in the South Division of the 2025 G-MAC preseason coaches poll. Ebony Gomez returns for the Saints, a senior outside hitter who earned G-MAC South Division Athlete of the Week honors last season. The Thomas More Saints were recently approved for full Division II membership, now fully eligible for NCAA DII championship competition. This will mark the first ever competition between the Rangers and the Dragons.
