INDIANAPOLIS, IND. – Parkside Volleyball continued its strong start to the 2025 campaign with a decisive 3-0 sweep over Thomas More on Saturday afternoon at the UIndy Invitational. The Rangers improved to 3-0 for the first time since 2012 with the victory, taking the match by scores of 25-21, 25-11, and 25-12.
The Rangers were led by Sam Fisch, who tallied a team-high 10 kills and three blocks, while Olson added nine kills on her .667 efficiency. Ava Irvin chipped in eight kills and nine and a half points, and Lucy Russ fueled the attack with 30 assists and 10 digs to record her second consecutive double-double. Harris anchored the back row with 17 digs and sparked the service line with six aces, including three straight in the second set.
Parkside set the tone early with a 25-21 win in the opening frame, pulling away late after four ties and a lead change. The Rangers then dominated the second set, limiting Thomas More to a -.182 hitting percentage while cruising to a 25-11 victory, highlighted by three consecutive aces from Natalie Harris. Parkside sealed the sweep with a powerful 25-12 win in the third, hitting .382 in the frame.
With the win, Parkside not only stays perfect at 3-0 but also marks the program's best start to a season in more than a decade.
Parkside will make its home debut on Thursday, Sept. 11, when the Rangers face McKendree University to kick off the Hampton Inn Invitational at DeSimone Arena.
