DETROIT, Mich. – Parkside women's golf opened the 2025 season in historic fashion at the Warrior Invitational, finishing ninth as a team while setting multiple program records.
The Rangers posted a team score of 319 in the first round, breaking the program's 18-hole team record. Over the course of three rounds, Parkside set a new 54-hole team record with a total score of 975, improving the previous mark by 44 strokes.
First-year Ranger
Lily Zicarelli paced the team with a tie for 20th place at +17, highlighted by two rounds in the 70s, including a 75 (+3) in round two. Junior
AJ Powell followed in 29th at +21, bouncing back from a tough opening round with scores of 77 and 78 in the final two rounds. Powell also ranked third in the field with nine birdies across the tournament.
Sarah Arsich tied for 46th at +34, closing with two birdies in the third round.
Dulce Gefke tied for 63rd at +45, with her best effort coming in the first round where she shot 80 with two birdies.
Natalie Kellogg placed 69th at +50, while
Stella Ruffalo, competing as an individual, tied for 74th at +68.
The Rangers return to action September 29 at the Gilda's Club Lakers Fall Invitational, hosted at The Meadows Golf Course in Allendale, Michigan. The field will play 36 holes in a single day.
