8/6/2025 1:46:00 PM

KENOSHA, Wis. – The Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) announced the recipients of the 2024-25 academic awards, and Parkside Men's Golf was once again recognized among the nation's best both on the course and in the classroom.

Parkside earned the prestigious President's Special Recognition as part of the PLATFORM Golf Team Academic Award program. This distinction is reserved for programs that achieved a team GPA of 3.5 or higher, and Parkside is one of just 132 schools across all divisions to receive the honor.

In addition to the team award, four Parkside student-athletes were named Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars by the GCAA: Alec Simms, Hayden Underhill, Andrew Conrad, and Peter Blazevic.
To be eligible for this individual honor, a student-athlete must be a sophomore, junior, or senior both academically and athletically, or in their final year of athletic eligibility at the junior college level.

Nominees must compete in at least 50% of their team's competitive rounds, maintain a career stroke average under 76.0, and carry a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2. Additionally, recipients must be of high moral character and in good standing with their institution.
