NOBLESVILLE, Ind. — The Parkside Men's Golf Team opened play at the Ken Partridge Invitational on Sunday, hosted by the University of Indianapolis at Purgatory Golf Club. A mainstay on the Rangers' spring schedule, this prestigious tournament is held at one of Indiana's top-rated public courses, known for hosting NCAA Regionals and multiple USGA qualifiers.

After the first round, Parkside sits in 20th place with a team score of 307 (+19), trailing eighth place by 13 shots. Junior Andrew Conrad led the way with a round of 75 (+3), continuing his consistent play this spring.

Conrad finished the day in a tie for 59th, recording 13 pars and a birdie on the par-4 4th hole, where he stuck his approach shot to within three feet.

Making his spring debut, sophomore Matt Marsollek posted a 76 (+4) and is tied for 69th. Marsollek tallied three birdies on the day, including one on the par-4 first after a pinpoint wedge from 70 yards.

Aleck Simms and Hayden Underhill each recorded rounds of 78 (+6), placing them in a tie for 92nd. Simms provided one of the day's highlights by holing out for eagle on the par-4 4th from roughly 25 yards off the green. Underhill closed strong, playing his final two holes at one-under and narrowly missing an ace on the par-3 3rd, where he hit his 6-iron to within three feet.

Peter Blazevic rounded out the team scoring with an 80 (+8), putting him in a tie for 104th.

Competing as an individual, senior TJ Floberg impressed with a steady round of 75 (+3), tying Conrad for 59th. Floberg posted 15 pars on the day, including eight straight to close the round.
