KENOSHA, Wis. – University of Wisconsin-Parkside sophomore AJ Powell has been selected as a qualifier for the NCAA Division II Women's Golf East Regional, the NCAA announced Monday. This marks the second consecutive year that Powell has earned a spot in the prestigious postseason event.

Powell turned in a strong 2024–25 season for the Rangers, posting a 79.3 adjusted scoring average. She recorded four top-10 finishes during the year, highlighted by a second-place finish, cementing her position as one of the top performers in the region.

"Ever since AJ made it to regionals last year, I knew it was a goal of hers to make it back this year," said Parkside Director of Golf Carly Werwie-Swartz. "She played well throughout the season to put herself in a good position for postseason play. I'm really proud of the hard work AJ puts into her game and how she handles herself on the golf course. It'll be awesome to see Parkside Women's Golf represented at the East Regional again!"
