AUGUSTA, Mich. — The Parkside Women's Golf Team concluded its 2025 spring season on Saturday, finishing 9thoverall at the GLIAC Conference Championship hosted at Stonehedge North Golf Club. In a field stacked with NCAA regional hopefuls, the Rangers battled to the end but came up short of qualifying for postseason play.
Parkside posted a team score of +62 (350) in Round 2, for a two-day total of +106 (332-350). Scoring conditions toughened considerably on Saturday, with the course playing nearly two shots harder compared to Day 1 (average score of 82).
AJ Powell capped her season with an outstanding performance, finishing 8th overall. She followed her opening-round 75 (+3) with a 77 (+5), giving her a two-day total of +8. Powell played her final 7 holes at even-par on Saturday, highlighted by a birdie on the par-4 7th hole. She also tied for best in the field on par-4s at one-under-par across both rounds.
Dulce Gefke turned in the next-best result for the Rangers, finishing in a tie for 35th with rounds of 82 (+10) and 88 (+16). Gefke ended her championship debut strong, making three pars and a birdie over her final four holes.
Sarah Arsich closed out her freshman season with rounds of 86 (+14) and 88 (+16), tying Gefke for the second-best Parkside score on Day 2. Arsich finished in a tie for 37th at +30 overall.
Stella Ruffalo finished in a tie for 41st place after shooting rounds of 90 (+18) and 97 (+25). Ruffalo's highlight came late Saturday with a birdie on the par-4 7th, thanks to a strong approach shot.
Kayla Warner, making her first GLIAC Championship appearance, finished in 42nd place with scores of 89 (+17) and 100 (+28).
The Parkside Women's Golf Team has officially wrapped up the 2025 spring season.
