Rangers Close Out UMSL Spring Invite

ST. LOUIS, Mo. — The Parkside Women's Golf Team wrapped up their time at the UMSL Spring Invitational on Monday with the final round at Norwood Hills Country Club, a historic venue known for hosting professional events dating back to the 1940s. In their second appearance at this tournament, the Rangers carded a final round score of 340 (+56), placing them 16th overall at +161 through three rounds of play.

With another day of ideal weather conditions in St. Louis, the course was ripe for scoring, and the Rangers looked to close out the invitational on a high note.

AJ Powell capped off a consistent week with a final-round 79 (+8) to finish the tournament at +20, landing in a tie for 26th place. Powell continued to lead the Rangers throughout the event, building off her strong second round and finishing inside the top-30.

Sarah Arsich continued her upward trend with a solid 82 (+11) on Monday. The freshman completed her debut at the UMSL Spring Invitational with a total score of +37, placing her in a tie for 72nd.

Stella Ruffalo remained steady in her second appearance at Norwood Hills, posting an 89 (+18) in the final round. Her round was highlighted by two birdies, including one on the par-4 1st and another on the par-5 6th. She finished the event at +50, tying for 90th place.

Kayla Warner shot a 90 (+19) to close out the tournament and finished with a total score of +60, in 94th place. Fellow freshman Dulce Gefke posted a 91 (+20) and wrapped up the event at +61, just behind Warner in  95th place.

The Parkside Women's Golf Team now turns its focus to the GLIAC Conference Championship, which is set to take place in two weeks. Live scoring will be available at ParksideRangers.com/coverage.
