WHEATON, Ill. — The Parkside Men's Golf Team returned to action Tuesday morning for the final round of the Flyers Spring Invitational at Cantigny Golf Club. The tournament featured 12 teams, including five GLIAC Conference programs: Davenport, Lake Superior State, Roosevelt, Purdue Northwest, and Parkside. Due to morning frost, the shotgun start was delayed until 11 a.m., but the Rangers remained focused despite the challenging conditions.  

Parkside finished in ninth place overall, posting a team score of 310 (+22) in the final round for a two-day total of 622 (+46). Leading the way was standout Andrew Conrad, who secured a runner-up finish with rounds of 71 (-1) and 76 (+4), closing the tournament at +3.  

Conrad remained in contention throughout the final round, capping his day with two closing pars to finish just behind individual champion Bryson Oots of William Jewell. He recorded two birdies in Round 2, capitalizing on strong approach shots at Holes 7 and 15.  

Peter Blazevic delivered a strong second round, improving to a 74 and finishing in a tie for 20th place at +9. His highlight of the day came at the par-3 17th, where he stuck a 7-iron to within six feet and drained the putt for birdie.  

Aleck Simms wrapped up his tournament with a round of 81, placing him in a tie for 47th at +17. Simms recorded birdies at Holes 11 and 13, both set up by excellent approach shots.  

Landen Savage showed resilience in the final round, carding a 79 while making 12 pars throughout the day. He finished in a tie for 54th place at +21.  

Hayden Underhill rounded out the lineup with an 87 in the second round, finishing in 65th place at +25.
