BAY CITY, Mich. — The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) announced its 2025 All-GLIAC women's soccer teams today, and three Parkside players earned postseason honors as the Rangers continue their historic season.
Senior forward Emily Mikkelson was named First Team All-GLIAC for the first time in her career. The veteran playmaker has broken out in her final season with career highs of six goals (tied for the team lead, tied for third in the GLIAC), seven assists (tied for second in the GLIAC, team lead), and 19 points (third in the GLIAC, team lead). Playing over 1,300 minutes for the fourth straight year, Mikkelson has appeared in all 19 matches for the Rangers. This marks her second consecutive All-GLIAC selection after earning Second Team honors last season.
Senior defender Makayla Wesemann earned Second Team All-GLIAC recognition for the first time in her career. The veteran center back has been the anchor of Parkside's defensive unit, leading the team with 1,524 minutes played. She has been instrumental in a back line that has produced four shutouts while allowing just 26 goals all season.
Senior midfielder Uda Kimba was selected as an All-GLIAC Honorable Mention. In her third season with the Rangers, Kimba has started all 19 matches — the only player on the roster to do so — while surpassing 1,300 minutes for a new career high.
The Rangers continue GLIAC postseason action on Friday, Nov. 14, against No. 3-seeded Saginaw Valley State. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m. CT in Allendale, Michigan.
