KENOSHA, Wis. -- After going 1-1 in the previous week of GLIAC play, the Parkside women's basketball team is preparing for two GLIAC games with massive implications in terms of GLIAC standings. The Rangers will open the week with a Thursday night game against the Northern Michigan Wildcats. Tip off from Marquette is set for 5:30 p.m. EST. Parkside will then face Michigan Tech on Saturday with tip scheduled for 12 p.m. EST. Both games will be streamed on FloSports. Coverage can be accessed at

Since facing Parkside, Northern Michigan has played just three games going 1-2. They picked up their lone win on Saturday at Lake Superior State. In the victory, the Wildcats were led by Jacy Weisbrod with 25 points and Makaylee Kuhn with 18. The two enter this week's action as Northern's top scorers with Kuhn averaging 16.7 ppg and Weisbrod averaging 11.8 ppg.Â

The series history falls in favor of the Wildcats as they are 10-5 against the Rangers all time. The Rangers have the opportunity to make history and capture their first win in Marquette. They have been winless in their five games played at Northern Michigan.Â

Since facing the Rangers just three weeks ago, the Huskies have gone on a hot streak, winning three of their last four games. The Huskies enter the week coming off a loss to No. 7 Ferris State in a tight battle, 63-54. The Huskies have been playing great team basketball, with two players averaging double figuring in scoring and three others averaging more than 8 ppg. Michigan Tech relies heavily upon Isabella Lenz, as the junior enters the weekend averaging 34.5 mpg and leads the team in scoring at 12.6 ppg.Â
