BAY CITY, Mich. — Parkside women's basketball standouts Cassidy Arni and Katie Hamill have been named to the All-GLIAC Second Team, the league office announced Friday. The awards were voted on by the conference's head coaches.
Arni, a junior guard/forward, collects her second straight All-GLIAC honor after earning First Team recognition last season and being named the GLIAC Freshman of the Year in 2024. This season, Arni led the Rangers in scoring with 392 total points and 13.5 points per game, ranking among the top 15 scorers in the conference.
One of three Rangers to start all 29 games this season, Arni was also among the GLIAC leaders at the free-throw line, making the fourth-most free throws in the league with 106. She shot just under 46% from the field while contributing across the stat sheet, finishing second on the team with 69 assists and 45 steals. Arni scored in double figures 24 times during the season and reached a major milestone in the regular-season finale against Northern Michigan, becoming the 20th player in program history to score 1,000 career points.
Hamill, a sophomore guard, earns All-GLIAC Second Team honors in her first season with the Rangers. She finished second on the team in scoring with 350 total points, averaging 13.5 points per game — also ranking among the league's top 15 scorers.
Hamill was one of the GLIAC's top perimeter threats, finishing among the league leaders with 43 made three-pointers and ranking inside the top 10 in three-pointers per game at 1.7. She logged the second-most minutes per game on the team at 31.7 and ranked second on the squad with 125 made field goals while shooting 41% from the floor.
From beyond the arc, Hamill led the Rangers with a 34% three-point percentage, and she was Parkside's most reliable free-throw shooter, converting 57 of 62 attempts (92%). Hamill also made a defensive impact, leading the team with 46 steals.
