KENOSHA, Wis. -- The Parkside women's basketball looks ahead to another week of GLIAC action. On deck for the Rangers is a Thursday night showdown with the No. 2 team in the nation in Grand Valley State. Tip off against the Lakers is set for 5:30 p.m. CST. They will follow up with a Saturday afternoon battle facing Davenport. Tip off versus the Panthers is set for 1 p.m. CST.

- The Rangers currently sit in sixth position in the GLIAC at 7-6, but are just a game behind Michigan Tech and Wayne State who are both 8-5.
- Sheridan Flauger is coming off a hot couple of performances in the previous weeks of play. Back on February 3rd against SVSU the Rangers point guard secured her first career double double, recording 20 points and a career high 10 rebounds. Just this past Saturday Flauger one upped her performance, posting a new career high against Michigan Tech, scoring 24 points and grabbing seven boards. The junior enters the week as Parkside's leading scorer, averaging 12.4 ppg.
- Grand Valley enters this week ranked No. 2 in the WBCA Coach's Poll. The Rangers have played two ranked opponents in De Simone this season, defeating both Minnesota Duluth and Ferris State. The Lakers have already won the first game of the series played in Allendale.

Parkside and Grand Valley matched-up just three weeks ago in Allendale. The Lakers handled business at home, defeating the Rangers 89-57. GVSU had 4 players reach double figures, while the Rangers were led by

The Lakers enter this week's action after jumping up to the No. 2 spot in the recent WBCA Coach's Poll. GVSU this season is 20-2 with their 2 losses coming at the hands of Ferris State, who enters this week ranked No. 4 in Division II, and Ohio State, who sits at No. 2 in the AP Top 25 Poll. Grand Valley State has been dangerous offensively with six players averaging eight or more points per game paired with a suffocating defense that is one of the best in the nation in Division II. The Lakers tout the second best scoring defense at 48.6 ppg and pair their offensive play with it to have the second best scoring margin at 27.8 ppg.

Grand Valley State holds the upper hand in the series at 16 wins to Parkside's three. Of the Rangers three wins over the Lakers, two of them have come at home and one on neutral floor.

Three weeks ago the Panthers and Rangers played in Grand Rapids where the Rangers came out on top, 66-48. 48 points is the second lowest point total the Rangers have allowed this season, their lowest being 41. Offensively, Parkside was led by

Davenport comes to Kenosha with a 3-19 record. This past weekend of action they dropped games to Saginaw Valley State and Wayne State. The Panther offense is centered around Lillee Gustafson. The junior center leads the Panthers in scoring at 11 ppg and is two rebounds short of averaging a double double at eight per game. She also gets help from sophomore Ellie Toney who is averaging nine ppg.

The Rangers are a perfect 9-0 against the Panthers all time. They will look to extend the win total to double digits on Saturday.
