Blazevic Records Fifth Straight Top-10, Rangers Finish Third In Fall Finale

SOUTH HAVEN, Mich.--- The Parkside Men's Golf Team wrapped up the Fall Season on Sunday at the Hawkshead Octoberfest Event hosted by Wayne State. Hawkshead Golf The playing conditions were ideal with sunny skies and warmer temperatures. Parkside finished in third place as a team, while Peter Blazevic recorded his fifth straight top-10 finish.
 
The Rangers finished in third place after shooting +1 (289) on Sunday and +7 overall (294, 289). The Rangers fell three shots short of Ohio Dominican, the second-place team.
 
Peter Blazevic finished his fall season on a high note after shooting +1 on Sunday and one under par for the tournament. This finish was good enough to earn him yet another all-tournament finish in a tie for 6th place. Blazevic had birdies on holes two and seven today to set up a solid second round.
 
Aleck Simms ended his second round at even par and +2 for the tournament (74, 72). Simms finished in 13th place. The junior played the par-5's two under par to set up a solid end to his season. 
 
Hayden Underhill finished the day under-par with a score of 71 (-1). This bumped Underhill nine spots up the leaderboard and into a tie for 14th place overall. Hayden played the par-5's two under par on Sunday and birdied the difficult par-3 16th today to end his fall season.
 
Andrew Conrad wrapped up the fall season with a score of 76 (+4) on Sunday. Conrad finished in 21st place overall at +6 (74, 76). Conrad had two birdies in a span of three holes today.
 
Landen Savage shot his lowest score for his collegiate career on Sunday with a 73 (+1). The freshman finished in a tie for 22nd place at +7. Savage hit a remarkable shot on his second hole of the day, the par-4 11th, to set up a 15-foot eagle putt that he was able to convert early in his round.
 
Will Finnerty, competing as an individual this weekend, finished on Sunday with a 76 (+4). The freshman also finished in a tie for 22nd place at +7. Finnerty had a solid birdie on the difficult par-3 13th today after hitting a 5-iron to within 15 feet of the hole.
 
TJ Floberg, also competing as an individual, improved by five shots on Sunday to shoot a second-round score of +1 (73). Floberg ended the tournament in a tie for 22nd overall at +7. The senior birdied both par-5s on the front nine.
 
The Parkside Men's Golf team has now completed their Fall Season of competition and will begin preparing for the Spring. The Rangers are currently scheduled to return to competition in early March next year.
