KENOSHA, Wis. -- With nine GLIAC games in the books for the 2023-24 season, this week marks the start of the back end of conference games for the Rangers. The Rangers enter this week with an 11-6 overall record, and is 6-3 in GLIAC play thus far. Ahead for Parkside is an evening match-up with Wayne State on Thursday night and an opportunity to avenge an early GLIAC loss to Saginaw Valley State on Saturday afternoon. Thursday's tip is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. CST in De Simone Arena. Saturday's game is slated to start at 1 p.m. CST also in De Simone Arena. Both games will be broadcasted live on FloSports. Scouting Wayne State
In the first meeting of the season between the two programs, the Rangers captured a convincing 95-59 victory with five players reaching double figures in the win. Parkside was led by

Since facing the Rangers back in early January, the Warriors have gone 3-2 in GLIAC play. Their two losses came at the hands of Ferris State and Grand Valley State; both teams are currently tied for first place in the GLIAC. Wayne State is just a game behind Parkside in fifth place entering Thursday's game.
The Warriors are led by Shea Tripp and Becca Fugate. Tripp is currently averaging 12.3 ppg and 6.4 rpg, leading the team in both categories. Tripp also leads the GLIAC in steals per game currently with 2.8, and has a team leading three double doubles. Fugate enters Thursday's game averaging 9.3 ppg. The Warriors point guard is shooting 44.1% on the season so far and has recorded a double double once this season.

Scouting Saginaw Valley State
The last time the Rangers and Cardinals squared off, SVSU was able to snap Parkside's five game win streak, impressively beating the Rangers 69-49. A bright spot for the Rangers in that game was

Since playing the Rangers, the Cardinals have gone just 2-4. Their two victories came against Lake Superior State and Davenport. SVSUÂ is currently tied for seventh place in the GLIAC with Purdue Northwest at 3-6 in conference play.
Saginaw Valley State enters this week's action with the reigning GLIAC Defensive Player of the Week, Lydia Meredith. The sophomore combined for 23 rebounds between the Cardinals games against Davenport, Lake Superior State, and Ferris State. She is currently averaging 2.2 steals per game, which is tied for second best in the GLIAC. SVSU is led offensively by Aleshia Jones who is averaging a team leading 13.5 ppg.Â
