How it Happened
The Rangers offense struggled to get going early on in the evening.  Parkside was only able to manage to put nine points on the board in the opening quarter of play. The Cardinals would outshoot the Rangers in the quarter going 58.3% from the floor, while the Rangers would shoot just 20%. Parkside would trail 14-9 after the first 10 minutes.

The Rangers would find their footing in the second quarter of play and explode for 19 points in the quarter. A Chloe Van Zeeland converted and one would round out the quarter and cap a Rangers seven point run heading into the half.  Parkside's run would erase a 13-point deficit and bring the score to 34-28 in favor of the Cardinals after the first half of play.
The Cardinals would mount a massive run coming out of the halftime break to answer. SVSU would open the quarter scoring 15 unanswered points, swelling their lead to 21 points. Another Van Zeeland and one would help the Rangers settle into their offense. Gabriela Loiz and Van Zeeland would account for all eight points in the quarter for Parkside as SVSU upped their lead to 54-36 by the end of the third quarter.

The damage was done as the Rangers were unable to get their offense going in the fourth quarter. Saginaw Valley State would outscore Parkside again in the fourth quarter, 15-13. The final score ended in a 69-49 scoreline.
