BAY CITY, Mich. – Members of the Parkside men's and women's basketball teams, men's and women's track & field teams and the wrestling team have received GLIAC academic honors, the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced on March 30.

31 student-athletes were named All-Academic, while 39 student-athletes received Academic Excellence honors. Men's track & field led the way with 13 Academic Excellence recognition. Four student-athletes, Paty Gallasova (women's basketball), Nate Lloyd (wrestling), Walker Miller (men's track & field), and Johnathon Nowacki (men's track & field) led the Rangers with 4.00 grade point averages.
 
The GLIAC guidelines state that the student-athlete must be an active member on the roster at the end of the season, not a freshman or a first-year transfer student. GLIAC All-Academic teams are comprised of those student-athletes that meet criteria and carry a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0-3.49. GLIAC Academic Excellence teams are comprised of student-athletes that have a cumulative GPA of 3.50-4.0. Grades are based on marks from the fall semester of 2021.
