VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – Rachel Blaskowski of the Parkside track and field team competed in the NCAA Division II Indoor Track and Field National Championships on Friday. Blaskowski, a freshman from Oak Creek, Wis., placed 15
th in the long jump in her first time competing at the national championship.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Blaskowski got off to a slow start in Flight 1, as she was called for a foul in her opening attempt. In her second attempt, Blaskowski jumped 5.43 meters to move up to 16
th place. Her final attempt of Flight 1 went for 5.54 meters, which jumped her one spot into 15
th. Blaskowski did not make the final flight and would end her competition after the third jump.

th place in the entries to 15
th overall. It's such a great learning experience for her in the first of many NCAA championships. We are so very proud of her indoor season and excited to hopefully bring more friends with her to outdoor nationals."
