Kenosha, Wis. --- The Parkside wrestling team dominated Minnesota State-Moorhead on Senior Night on Thursday night in De Simone Arena. The Rangers controlled the mat from start to finish as they ran away with a 36-6 victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Senior night started off at 125-pounds where No.5 ranked freshman
Shane Corrigan continued his dominance as he earned a 19-0 technical fall. Corrigan earned near fall points throughout the match which led to his big lead. In the 133-pound match, sophomore
Joey Roti found himself down 5-4 heading into the third period while holding over a minute of riding time. A couple late takedowns in the third period gave Roti the lead that later turned into an 8-8 tie. With over a minute of riding time, Roti earned the extra point which gave him the 9-8 decision. Through two matches, the Rangers lead 8-0.
Redshirt sophomore and No.10 ranked
Cayden Henschel competed at 141-pounds where he was able to get a takedown in the first 30 seconds of the match and held onto a small lead throughout the match. Henschel was able to extend his lead late in the third period and earn a 7-2 decision. At 149-pounds, senior
Torry Early pulled off a reversal to get the first takedown of the bout that further lead to near fall points. Early continued to earn more near fall points in the second period where he was able to cruise to a 18-2 technical fall. The Rangers now held a 16-0 lead over Minnesota State-Moorhead.
At 157-pounds redshirt sophomore and No.12 ranked
Ben Durocher also got off to an early 2-0 lead thanks to a first period takedown. Durocher held a 4-0 lead entering the third period as he earned another takedown from the bottom to extend his lead to 6-0. No.12 Durocher came away victorious as he won in a 9-1 major decision with over four minutes of riding time. At the intermission, the Rangers lead Moorhead 20-0.
Following Intermission, No.1 ranked redshirt senior
Shane Gantz controlled the pace of the 165-pound match where he remained on top for the majority of the match. Gantz was able to cruise to a 11-1 major decision and advance to 28-0 on the season. Senior
Drake Regenhardt found himself in a close match at 174-pounds as the score remained 0-0 after the first period. Regenhardt found himself down 4-1 to start the third as he could not get a late takedown and fell in a 6-3 decision. The Dragons earned their first points of the night as they trailed 24-3.
Redshirt sophomore and No.9 ranked
Reece Worachek lead following the first period and was able to get a crucial takedown that led to a pin just one minute into the second period. In the 197-pound match,
Kaden Hooker earned six team points for the Rangers as the Dragons forfeited the match. Heading into the heavyweight match, the Rangers lead 36-3. In the heavyweight match, redshirt sophomore
Lloyd Reynolds found himself in yet another close match that was tied 1-1 early in the third period. Reynolds was taken down with under a minute remaining in the third period in which he could not overcome as he fell in a 3-2 decision.
The Rangers went on to win the match in dominant fashion 36-6. 36 team points is the highest team score for the Rangers this season. The Rangers also won eight of the ten total matches on the night. Parkside Wrestling has clinched at least a share of the conference championship title and would earn the sole championship title with a win in Friday's dual. An undefeated conference season would be the first such finish in Parkside history.
