ROMEOVILLE, Ill. -- The Parkside men's cross country team returned to action on Saturday afternoon, competing in the Lewis Crossover meet. In the largest meet of the season the Rangers finished 15
th out of 31 teams. Individually the Rangers had a huge day, with 14 of the 16 competing runners setting a new personal best in the 8k race.

"Our team ran pretty well today in our first big test of the season against a lot of great national level teams," said Director of Track and Field & Cross-Country
Nick Maas. We had a ton of personal best marks across the entire team. We do need to work on being a little more aggressive in large races to set ourselves up will in championship races. That's an easy tweak and we'll be ready as we approach the GLIAC championships in a few weeks."

Uriah Aili led the Rangers with a personal best 8k time of 24:48.0, finishing 34
th.
Johnathon Nowacki had a massive personal best on Saturday, running the race in a time of 25:01.5, which is over a minute improvement from his previous best. He finished 57
th.
Ellery Pleier,
Grady Davis,
Max Rahm,
Wil Kiley and
Austin Depuydt rounded out the scoring top seven for the Rangers.
