ST. ALBANS, MO – The Parkside men's golf team opened their largest tournament of the year so far on Monday, competing in the Midwest Regional at the Country Club of St. Albans. Play was suspended due to darkness with just five groups left to finish round two of three. The Rangers sit in a tie for ninth as a team with just a few players left to finish play.
Parkside find themselves in a tie for ninth near the conclusion of round two after sitting in tenth after the opening round of the day. Parkside shot +21 (309) in round one and are currently +35 for the tournament.
Peter Blazevic leads the Rangers after two rounds. He currently is sitting in a tie for seventh at +2. Blazevic shot a one under 71 in round one which featured four birdies including two on the final two holes of the round.
Andrew Conrad sits in a tie for 37
th at +9. After a first round +9 (81) Conrad has recovered with an even par 72 in round two. Conrad had four birdies in the second round.
Hayden Underhill,
Tanner Olson and
TJ Floberg sit in a tie for 52
nd at +12 after the first day. All three put together solid performances in round two, with Underhill carding a 78, Olson a 77 and Floberg a 73.
Matt Marsollek is in a tie for 93
rd.
