KENOSHA, Wis. – The No.7 ranked Parkside Wrestling team hosted No.22 Southwest Minnesota State in De Simone Arena on Saturday where they showed their dominance against yet another top-25 ranked opponent.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Starting the afternoon in the 125-pound class was freshman and No.5 ranked
Shane Corrigan, who dominated his match throughout as he came away with a 23-7 technical fall late in the second period. Freshman
Troy Dolphin moves to 2-0 on the season as he pins his opponent in the 133-pound division just 76 seconds into the match. Back-to-back falls early in the match gave Parkside a 11-0 lead.
At 141-pounds, No.10 ranked redshirt sophomore
Cayden Henschel won on a forfeit due to SMSU not travelling with a 141-pound wrestler. Henschel was named to the national rankings on Friday and continues to prove why he belongs as a mainstay in the rankings. Redshirt sophomore
Jalen Spuhler moved into the No.6 spot in the national rankings and controlled his 149-pound match throughout, winning on a 25-10 technical fall. The Rangers earned three falls and one forfeit to start the afternoon as the Rangers lead 22-0.
Redshirt sophomore and No.12 ranked
Ben Durocher extends his win streak to two with a 2-1 decision in a close match at 157-pounds. No.1 ranked
Shane Gantz gets to 24-0 with yet another 6-1 decision in the 165-pound bout. The first match that the Mustangs won came in the 174-pound match as
Crosby Schlosser fell in a 7-4 decision. The Mustangs now trailed 28-3 with four matches remaining.
At 184-pounds, redshirt sophomore and No.10 ranked
Reece Worachek faced off against No.2 ranked Caden Steffen of SMSU. In an intense match that went to the third extra time period, Worachek won due to an injury to Steffen eight and a half minutes into the match. Worachek also earned his fourth win against a ranked opponent on the season. Freshman
Kaden Hooker competed in his second dual of the season as he just missed coming up with his first career win as he lost 3-1 in the first extra time period. At heavyweight for the Rangers, redshirt sophomore
Lloyd Reynolds could not come back from a 4-2 deficit late in the third period as he fell in a 4-3 decision to No.11 ranked Jacob Dykes of SMSU.
Competing as an extra for Parkside was redshirt sophomore
Drake Regenhardt making his first appearance of the season but was ultimately pinned late in the third period.
