SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – The Parkside men's golf team greatly improved on the second day of the Dan Salisbury Memorial hosted by Illinois-Springfield at Panther Creek Country Club. The team shot an impressive 285 in round two, the lowest team score in 18 holes in just over ten years since the school record was broken in the spring of 2012. That record was 279 at the Parkside Spring Invitational.

Leading the way for the Rangers was junior
Danny Sanicki with a second round score of 2-under 70 and finishing in a tie for fourth. Sophomore
Garrett Olson followed with a 1-under 71 and finished in a tie for ninth. Senior
Chase Fisk also shot a 1-under 71 in the second round, good for a T-17 finish. Junior
Steven Sanicki shot a 73 in round two and finished tied for 17
th. Rounding out the lineup was freshman
TJ Floberg with a second round 78.
A 285 score in round two helped the Rangers jump from sixth place after round one to a third place finish overall. McKendree took home the team title after shooting a combined 10-under for the two rounds. Fabian Wennerlof of McKendree won the individual title at nine-under par for the tournament.
