FINDLAY, Ohio – The University of Wisconsin-Parkside Wrestling team traveled to Findlay, Ohio on Saturday to compete in the Findlay Open as two Rangers took home champion honors and eight others made the podium.

RESULTS
Once again it was senior and number one ranked Shane Gantz who remained undefeated as he went 5-0 on Saturday and took home the 165-pound title. Gantz won by major decision in each of the final three matches of the 165-pound bracket. In the 285-pound bracket, sophomore Lloyd Reynolds moved to 11-0 on the season as he took home the championship on Saturday. Reynolds won the championship match by sudden victory, 3-1. 125-pound freshman Shane Corrigan battled back from a round two loss to the number one ranked wrestler from West Liberty, to win six straight matches and take home third. At 149, sophomore Jalen Spuhler went 6-1 on Saturday taking home third place. Spuhler's day was highlighted with two major decisions and one tech fall. Sophomore Ben Durocher followed up his win at the UWW Dual with an impressive four wins and one loss on Saturday as he took home second in the 157-pound bracket. In route to the podium, Durocher knocked off the #11 ranked wrestler from Mercyhurst in the semifinal. Third ranked sophomore Reece Worachek took home third place at the 184-pound division, going 4-1 on Saturday with a sudden victory in the third-place match. Worachek's only loss comes to the fourth ranked wrestler from West Liberty in the semifinal.
Other Top Finishers
133 - Matthew Chi took home 6th place with two wins, one major decision.
149 - Torry Early finished 5th and went 5-2 with two tech falls and a major decision.
285 - Jason Guadarrama went 4-2 as he took 5th place featuring one major decision.
*Brody Hemauer wrestled unattached at 174-pounds where he took 2nd place.
