KENOSHA, Wis. – The Parkside women's basketball team hosted the Saginaw Valley State Cardinals on Saturday, Jan. 22.  The Rangers looked to end their home stretch with a win, before heading to Michigan for a road trip next weekend.  The game was neck and neck the whole way, and the Rangers found a way to get the win in the final seconds.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Both teams got off to a slow start in the first quarter, with the score being tied at just 7-7 after the first ten minutes.  The Rangers were able to squeeze out a lead before the half, as they went to the locker room leading 24-21.  Both the Rangers and the Cardinals scored 17 points in the third quarter to keep the Rangers up by three heading to the fourth quarter.  The two teams battled throughout the fourth, and the Cardinals were able to tie the game at 50 with 3:34 left to play. An and-one and a three pointer for Alyssa Nelson gave the Rangers a six-point lead with less than 2:30 to play.  Saginaw crawled back within two points in the final minute, but the Rangers defense stood strong to get the win.
