Set 1: The Rangers got out to a good start winning the first set, using a 6-0 run to take an 8-5 lead early on and erasing a Cardinals lead with an 8-1 lead later in the set. SVSU got it to 24-23, but a junior Reese Rossnagel kill gave the Rangers a 1-0 lead in the match.

Set 2: SVSU had control of the second set for much of the way, but Parkside clawed its way back in towards the end, using a brief 3-0 run get within 24-21, but the Cardinals got the kill they needed to tie the match at 1-1.

Set 3: The Cardinals led for the entire third set, pulling out to a 10-4 advantage and didn't look back en route to the 25-15 win to take a 2-1 advantage in the match.

Set 4: Parkside responded in the fourth set, opening up a 9-3 lead. Later in the set, SVSU rallied off a 6-0 run to make it 21-20 and later tied it at 24-24. Back-to-back SVSU attack errors ended the set and tied the match at 2-2.

Set 5: The difference in the fifth was a 5-0 run by the Cardinals to give them an 11-8 lead that Parkside couldn't overcome. A late kill by senior Rachel Hedman made it 13-11 SVSU, but the visiting squad scored the final two to beat the Rangers.
