Just knowing all the hard work that we put in as a team to accomplish this made it so much more satisfying. It made all the struggles I had to go through in my career worth it and just like my mom says its gods plan. The low of my career has to be my sophomore year when we had sanctions and couldn't make it to the post season play. This sucked because the whole season we were essentially playing for nothing. After this I learned to not take anything for granted and cherish every moment you get to play.
Who do you cheer for or in other terms, who are you grateful for throughout your career? I am grateful for all my teammates both past and present without them I wouldn't be the player I am today and wouldn't have accomplished my goals without them.

Who is your biggest influence, in athletics or in life and what advice have they given you? My dad has been my biggest influence in life and in baseball. Always remind yourself during a bad game or even a good game to remind yourself of the kid in you that fell in love with the game."

What is the high and the low of your career and what did you learn from both of those moments? The high of my career is meeting teammates that will be friends for a lifetime, and also being teammates with current MLB players on my tournament team. The low of my career was getting sick with Lupus and really struggling through Chemotherapy and trying to play at the same time. I would feel sick and weak, but I did it. Also because of chemo I got injured a lot throughout junior college and not really being able to play for two years. For the high moment of my career I learned that you cannot make new old friends and how lucky I am to have the opportunity to have such close friends and how I met them through the game I love. What I learned from the low point of my career is that even though going through all that, it made me stronger. Also even though I was always getting hurt and feeling sick when I was still able to play for 13 more years, I was still lucky enough to be able to still play the game I love. There are not a lot of people who have gone through chemo and still been able to play college sports and for that I feel lucky.

What are your plans after you graduate from Parkside? I'll be attending Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Arizona to become a Naturopathic Physician. My dream is to open an integrative sports medicine practice.
When was your proudest moment as a Ranger? My proudest moments would probably be just seeing myself be able to achieve goals I set for myself at the beginning of my career. I wanted to be the best libero to come through Parkside, not for me, but for the team and for the future of the program. Being able to have set records while my team was also successful was the biggest blessing.
What do you like most about Parkside? The health science program is absolutely amazing. I had the most down to earth professors and support system of academic advisors always ready to help you in any way they can.
Who is your biggest influence, in athletics or in life and what advice have they given you ?Probably my mom. She was a collegiate athlete and always tells it like it is. That honesty growing up taught me my work ethic and a strong competitive mentality. I can't imagine being the athlete I am without her motivation, inspiration, and tough love.
What is the soundtrack of your life and why? Earth by Lil Dicky because Earth is our planet. Also, I love being outdoors and try to make caring for the environment an everyday priority.
What is the high and the low of your career and what did you learn from both of those moments? The low from my career would probably just be the constant change and having to adjust to three different coaches and styles or having to go through the probation year. It was tough on us as a team and the chemistry for a little while. The high would definitely be the grit and fight at the end of my junior season. We were expected to not make the conference tournament and everyone came together to fight so hard to make it happen. There was just so much extra love and passion in those last few weeks.
Who do you cheer for or in other terms, who are you grateful for throughout your career? Regan Stefan. She is everything you could ever ask for in a teammate and person. She was my warmup and defense partner for two years and I would not be the player I am without her. She can always make me smile no matter what the situation and has the biggest heart in this world.
Anything else you want to add? To whoever wears #1 next: Put all your blood, sweat, and tears into that jersey and embrace every second of it.

.
When was your proudest moment as a Ranger? My proudest moment as a Ranger was being able to bring awareness to Epilepsy and giving my sister the chance to score a goal on a college field.
Who is your biggest influence, in athletics or in life and what advice have they given you? My dad is my greatest influence and biggest supporter both on and off the field. His selfless nature and unending belief in my potential is what has instilled in me, the confidence and ambition I carry. He has stood by me every step of the way, guiding me in the right direction and shaping me into the person I am proud to be. As he always says, "stay true to yourself and enjoy the moment."
What is the soundtrack of your favorite artist? Quinn XCII
What is the high and the low of your career and what did you learn from both of those moments? A high in my career was becoming the all-time saves leader. The low would be facing injuries every season. Those set backs taught me that mental strength is just as important, if not more important than physical strength. They taught me the value in patience and the idea of staying grounded in the present moment. Injuries aren't a process worth rushing through and greater advancements can be made when the realization of the bigger picture kicks in.
Who do you cheer for or in other terms, who are you grateful for throughout your career? I'm grateful for so many people I have had the pleasure of getting to know solely through soccer. Every teammate, every coach, every friend has left some kind of imprint on my life that has helped me grow as a player and an individual. I'm grateful for my family whose first words every time they saw me was "how's soccer going?" I'm grateful for my dad who sacrificed so much just to watch me play. And I'm especially grateful for my sister who, without even knowing, inspires me to be the very best player and person I can be.
Anything else you want to add? Whether you have one season left or your career has yet to to begin, don't take an ounce of this lifestyle for granted. Make every moment count and create as many memories as you possibly can. Soak it all in, learn as much as you can, and show up every day like it's your last because It never really hits you until it does and by then, it's usually too late.

What do you like most about Parkside? I was able to gain so many experiences here such as being a student-athlete, working in a research lab on campus, and being active in the community.

What is the high and the low of your career and what did you learn from both of those moments? One high was the start of the 2020 season, even cut short it was an honor to be part of that team. When was your proudest moment as a Ranger? My proudest moment as a Ranger would be receiving both the Male Breakthrough Athlete of the Year Award and the Inspiration Award at the 2019 Ranger Awards.
What do you like most about Parkside? What I like most about Parkside is that it's a small school but everyone is all about family.
Who is your biggest influence, in athletics or in life and what advice have they given you? My biggest influence would be my teammates because we all have worked collectively as a team and family despite the circumstances that cut our season short.
What is the high and the low of your career and what did you learn from both of those moments? Low of my career would be the hamstring injury I dealt with the 2018-2019 season and I learned to always stay positive during tough times. Highest moment would be breaking the school record after 3 years of not being able to compete and it taught me to never give up even when things aren't going your way.
Who do you cheer for or in other terms, who are you grateful for throughout your career? All of my coaches and teammates are who I'm most grateful for. Each of them play an important role in my life on and off the track.

What are your plans after you graduate from Parkside? Start practicing in the field of marriage and family counseling.
What do you like most about Parkside? Parkside feels like home. The people here care about each other and don't quit when things get hard. My friends and teammates here have become like family.
Who is your biggest influence, in athletics or in life and what advice have they given you? My biggest influence has been both of my brothers. They motivate me and continuously prove that good things happen to good people when they put in the work.
What is the soundtrack of your life and why? The Frozen soundtrack. It has everything: self discovery, family values, adventure. What more could you want?
What is the high and the low of your career and what did you learn from both of those moments? My low point was my first season of cross country being left off the travel roster for nationals and my high point was my running my 3k Pr and breaking 9 in my first try at the event. My low point taught me that my team was going to lift me up no matter what and I could lift them up even if I wasn't racing. My high point taught me that progress is not linear and if you're passionate and committed, the work you put in will pay off eventually.
Who do you cheer for or in other terms, who are you grateful for throughout your career? I will always cheer for the people who stuck by me and believed in Parkside with me throughout all the coaching changes and adversity we faced to name a few: Jimmy Funteas,
Kiandre Henderson,
Brock Eves and
Joey Eterno among many others who never quit on Parkside and made me proud to be a Ranger.
Anything else you want to add? Even though my turn as an athlete is over, I'm excited to be a part of Parkside Athletics in the future and give back to the program that made me who I am.

What do you like most about Parkside? What I enjoy most about Parkside is the abundant amount of support you receive from each and every staff member within the athletic department.
Who is your biggest influence, in athletics or in life and what advice have they given you? It is really hard to pick one, but of the quotes that I read often is by Steve Prefontaine which says, "to give anything less then my best is to sacrifice the gift." This quote keeps my motivated while running and pursuing my future career.
What is the soundtrack of your life and why? The soundtrack of my life is Move (Keep Wakin) by TobyMac because it helps keep me pushing even when it is hard because it will be worth in the end.
What is the high and the low of your career and what did you learn from both of those moments? A high of my career is qualifying for nationals and what I learned from this is team commitment and dedication outside it really important. What is the high and the low of your career and what did you learn from both of those moments? The low and high of my career was relatively the same thing just with different outputs. The low part is transferring from Mckendree University. I was scared to go to a whole new school and start over and not know anyone. The high of my career is the moment I met my teammates. When I got here I didn't know anyone really but was brought in like I was part of their family already. Transferring was one of the greatest decision I've made in life. My old coach said to me, the grass is not always greener on the other side. In this case it was. I learned to take chances even if I'm going to feel uncomfortable about the situation and don't be scared to move forward to a new.
Who do you cheer for or in other terms, who are you grateful for throughout your career? I cheer for my teammates. I'm grateful for all of them for helping me become a better person and better teammate. We are a family and I will always cheer on my teammates!

The best advice she has given me is to view running and school as a way to grow and learn more about life and myself, and not as a measure of success or my identity.
What is the soundtrack of your life and why? The album Love Run Free by Upstate because several of the songs, especially "My Heart is Home", remind me of my family.
What is the high and the low of your career and what did you learn from both of those moments? The low of my career was getting last in the 10k at conference my sophomore year and the high of my career was scoring in the 5k at indoor conference senior year. Who is your biggest influence, in athletics or in life and what advice have they given you? My first club coaches, Doug and Mike, were huge influences in my life. I was on that team for 10 years. They taught me everything I needed to know to play soccer, and even more important they taught me to be a good and selfless person. My club team was also a family, we always had each others backs on and off the field to this day, they will always be the reason I am the person I am today. We love and support each other and I'm great full for all of them. My mom was also a big influence in my life and athletics. She also allowed me to explore anything I was interested and supported me when doing it. Especially in soccer, she took a lot of her own time and used it bringing me to games and camps and I appreciate that.
What is the high and the low of your career and what did you learn from both of those moments? The high was my senior year of high school season. We had a really young team and I was lucky enough to be able to share the game I loved with them. Seeing the smiles of my teammates when they would score their first goal, or they would accomplish something new made me happy. It made me realize that a lot of people need support in their lives, and it's better to accomplish things as a team, working together, rather than individually.
Who do you cheer for or in other terms, who are you grateful for throughout your career? I'm grateful for all of my coaches that I've had. They have each taught me something different, and I have discovered something new about myself that I will carry with me into the future. She knew I had big dreams and wanted to show me that she believed in me and I should too.
What is the soundtrack of your life and why? Wherever I Live by Alessia Cara. I have lived in multiple places around the world and consider all of them my home. I like to say home is wherever I live because saying I am home or going home does not always mean Finland.
What is the high and the low of your career and what did you learn from both of those moments? Low- coming into my senior year with an expected healthy, pain free knee because I had surgery but after couple months the pain was back and I had to change my mindset and adjust my workouts and workload. High- our team going on a 8 game winning streak! I learned that with an amazing team chemistry we could overcome anything!

What is the high and the low of your career and what did you learn from both of those moments? The low would have to be when I tore my MCL, during preseason, in my freshman year. It was very tough to watch everyone else play while I had to sit out and watch. It made me be a lot more grateful in the future when things are going well and you are healthy. It was my first major injury and mentally, It made me a lot stronger. The biggest high would have to be after we won the GLIAC Tournament Championship. Celebrating in the locker room after the game would have to one of my favorite moments of my life. It was just an awesome feeling to see how our team came together. Most people just see that we won at the end of the season, however, we started out the season 1-3 and bounced back to only lose 2 of our last 17 games. It was an awesome run and I could not have imagined a better senior season. This was where I learned that hard work pays off. We spend a lot of time working hard in the off season and to see it turn into something great was awesome.
Who do you cheer for or in other terms, who are you grateful for throughout your career? I am very grateful for my friends and family. My mom and dad came to all of my games throughout my career. I am also very grateful for my grandpa Rade. He did not miss one of my games even though he has had 2 back surgeries and is constantly in a lot of pain. The support I have received throughout my career was awesome and I am very grateful for it.
Anything else you want to add? I would just like to say I am very thankful for all that Parkside has done for me. The five years at this school were the best five years of my life. I am very happy with my decision to come to Parkside.

My low was probably each time we had to be in locker room after each season-ending loss, seeing the seniors having to leave is never easy. What are your plans after you graduate from Parkside? My plan after I graduate from Parkside is to attend nursing school back near home in Green Bay at Bellin College.
When was your proudest moment as a Ranger? My proudest moment as a Ranger was working hard to return to play after back-to-back shoulder surgeries.
Who is your biggest influence, in athletics or in life and what advice have they given you? My biggest influence in my life would definitely be both my parents. (Sorry, it's too hard to pick between them both!) They both pushed me to be the best I can possibly be and have always been my biggest supporters. I would not be where I am in my life today without both my parents.
What is the soundtrack of your life and why? The soundtrack of my life I would say would be the "Footloose" soundtrack simply because I love 80s music and wish I grew up in the 80s because I love the way they dressed.
What is the high and the low of your career and what did you learn from both of those moments? The low of my career was recovering from my first shoulder surgery and return to play only to have it tear again a couple practices in. The high of my career was definitely enjoying my last two years of play and making it to the conference tournament both my junior and senior year.
Who do you cheer for or in other terms, who are you grateful for throughout your career? I am eternally grateful for Lyndsie Anders. She was someone who was by my side from the very beginning when I arrived to Parkside. She's one of the hardest working people I know and one of my closest and most dearest friend and I'm thankful Parkside Volleyball brought us together.
Anything else you want to add? Playing for Parkside will always be on of my biggest achievements and best four years of my life. Going to miss wearing that #3 volleyball jersey and being a Ranger.

What is the high and the low of your career and what did you learn from both of those moments? The high of my career was my junior season, I received the most improved award and it was very special to me. A low of my career was probably my first year just letting my body adjust to the level of training was hard, I wasn't progressing how I expected to. I have learned that it takes patience and early mornings to get the results you really want.

What is the high and the low of your career and what did you learn from both of those moments?
