KENOSHA, Wis. — Parkside Athletics continued its tradition of excellence in the classroom during the fall 2025 semester, as Ranger student-athletes combined to post an impressive 3.55 departmental grade point average, the department announced Monday.
The strong academic showing underscores Parkside's commitment to success both on the field of competition and in the classroom, with student-athletes consistently performing at a high level across all programs.
"I am so proud of the academic success of our student-athletes this spring," said Director of Athletics
Adam Schemm '08. "What our student-athletes do in the classroom is equally as impressive as what they do on the competition grounds. Their hard work and determination to be the best student and athlete that they can be is truly inspiring."
In total, 179 Parkside student-athletes earned a 3.5 GPA or higher during the fall semester, highlighted by 42 student-athletes who achieved a perfect 4.0. Overall, 78 percent of Ranger student-athletes recorded a GPA of 3.0 or better.
Every Parkside athletic program contributed to the department's success, as every team posted a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher for the 10th consecutive semester. Volleyball led all women's teams—and the department overall—with a 3.66 team GPA, while the men's golf program recorded the highest GPA among men's teams at 3.42.
