Montrail Johnson and
James Lehman both earned pin falls as the University of Wisconsin-Parkside wrestling squad won their first dual of the day against University of Findlay 25-21, but the Rangers dropped their second dual by criteria to University of Indianapolis 19-19 at the Ranger Duals inside the Petretti Fieldhouse.

The fifth-ranked Rangers started off their morning dual against the eighth-ranked Oilers with a forfeit win, and a 3-2 victory from
Airk Furseth (133-pounds). Parkside dropped their next four matches and trailed Findlay 18-9.
Nick Becker guided the Rangers back to their winning ways at 174-pounds with a 13-4 majority decision win over the seventh-ranked wrestler in the nation (Becker is ranked No. 1).

Montrail Johnson (184-pounds) earned six team points for Wisconsin-Parkside as he pinned his opponent in the first round at 1:54.
James Lehman followed suit in the next match with a pin fall in the 197-pound weight class. The Rangers finished the dual splitting the ten matches with five wins but led in team points 25-21.

The afternoon dual against Indianapolis also saw UW-Parkside with five wins and five losses.
Ronzel Darling and
Airk Furseth both picked up decisions in their respective weight classes as the Rangers took a 6-0 lead in team points. After dropping the next four matches to the Greyhounds,
Nick Becker picked up his second majority win (29-17) of the day, staying undefeated for the season at 11-0.

Montrail Johnson controlled his second opponent of the day, collecting a technical fall win (16-1).
James Lehman followed with a 12-1 majority decision, and Parkside had a 19-16 lead going into the heavyweight match. The Rangers lost the final match of the day by an 11-5 decision, which gave both teams 19 points, but the Greyhounds won by the criteria of having the only pin fall victory in the dual.

The Rangers return to the mat as they kick off their inaugural Great Lakes Valley Conference season with a dual against Maryville University on Saturday, Jan. 21 inside the DeSimone Gymnasium.
