(July 20, 2015)-- The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association announced its All-Academic award winners for the 2015 track & field season with University of Wisconsin-Parkside student-athletes
Jake Dubnicka and
Amanda Zittleman claiming the honor for their success on the track and in the classroom.

To earn USTFCCCA All-Academic honors, student-athletes must have compiled a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 and have reached a provisional or automatic qualifying standard for the NCAA Championships in either the indoor or outdoor track & field seasons. A total of 239 men and 450 women from NCAA Division II earned the award.

Dubnicka, a sophomore geography major, claims All-Academic accolades on the track for the first time in his career after hitting the NCAA Division II provisional qualifying standard in the 5,000-meters during the indoor season. The 2014 USTFCCCA All-Academic cross country runner clocked a season-best time of 14 minutes, 44.38 seconds on the oversize track in Allendale, Michigan on Feb. 13 at Grand Valley State University's Big Meet.

Zittleman, a senior biology major, earns the All-Academic award for the first time in her career after hitting the provisional qualifying standard during the indoor season as a member of the distance medley relay. The 2015 Great Lakes Valley Conference champion in the indoor 800-meters collaborated with teammates
Moriah Palmer,
Jetaeia Lewis, and
Sam Montalbano at the Cardinal Classic on Feb. 20 in Naperville, Illinois, finishing the 4,000-meter relay (1,200-400-800-1,600) in 11:54.45.
