SOMERS, Wis. (Nov. 21, 2015)-- The University of Wisconsin-Parkside men's basketball team nearly eclipsed the 100-point barrier for the second consecutive game on Saturday, piling on the points in a 99-81 victory over the University of Minnesota-Duluth in a non-conference tilt inside DeSimone Gymnasium. Six Rangers ended the night in double figures, including Kyle Flanagan who came off the bench and tallied his first career double-double.
 
The visiting Bulldogs (3-2) knocked down the opening points of the game and owned a 7-4 edge just four minutes into the game but the homestanding Rangers (3-0) piled on 24 of the next 30 points to establish a 17-point buffer.  18 of the Rangers' 24 points during the scoring binge came from beyond the arc, including three treys from Alexander Brown.
 
UW-Parkside continued to apply the pressure, establishing a 55-38 advantage at the halftime intermission. The Rangers kept the visiting Bulldogs at arm's length the entire second stanza, owning at least a nine-point advantage for the team's 16th consecutive home victory.
 
Andy Mazurczak led the offensive charge, netting 22 points while dishing out eight assists while Brown finished with 15 points. Kyle Flanagan had 13 points and a team-high 10 boards while Jake Verhagen chipped in 13 points. Goran Zagorac had 11 points while Kendale McCullum was the sixth ranger in double figures scoring 10 points while also adding seven assists and three steals.
 
Pierre Newton paced the Bulldogs, scoring 20 points while Taylor Lavery and Brendon Pineda added 16 and 14 points, respectively.
 
The Rangers scorched the nets in the opening half, hitting 65.5 percent (19-for-29) of shots from the floor and ended the contest shooting at a 56.9 percent clip (33-for-58). UW-Parkside canned 12 threes on the afternoon, closing the game shooting 60 percent (12-for-20) from beyond the arc.
 
The Rangers hit the road on Monday night, facing Walsh University in a non-conference clash in North Canton, Ohio. Tipoff is slated for 7 p.m. (Eastern Time).
