KENOSHA, Wis. (May 8, 2013)-- Host University of Wisconsin-Parkside closed out the three-day NCAA Division II Super Regional with a strong performance on Wednesday, surging up three spots to place 15th in the final team standings at The Club at Strawberry Creek.

Keith Buntrock and Jake Wisniewski led the Rangers, both finishing the three-day event tied for 36th with a score of 223. Buntrock opened the Super Regional by shooting a 73 on Monday before following up with a 76 on Tuesday and a 74 during Wednesday's final round. Wisniewski shot an even par (72) on day one, before carding a 77 and a 74. Brian Krupo finished five strokes back with a 228 (79-75-74), placing 71st. The senior saved his best performance for Wednesday, finishing off the 17th and 18th holes with a pair of birdies, including sinking a long putt on 18.

Kyle Kolberg posted a three-round score of 230, shooting a 76 on Monday before posting identical 77 scores on Tuesday and Wednesday to place 80th. Nick Corban was the Rangers' fifth-man, finishing one stroke behind Kolberg with a tally of 231 (77-79-75) to finish 82nd overall.


As a team, the Rangers compiled a three-day score of 900 (298-305-297), tallying their best round of the tournament on the final day. UW-P's performance vaulted the squad from 18th to a tie for 15th, sharing the spot with Tiffin University (292-301-307) and finishing three strokes shy of Lewis University in 14th place.

The University of Central Missouri won the Super Regional carding an 859 (287-287-285) while the Mules' Robby Hughey secure top medalist honors, shooting a 13-under 203 (65-69-69). University of Central Oklahoma was second (864) followed by the University of Missouri-Saint Louis (866), Bellarmine University (874) and Southwestern Oklahoma State University (875). All five teams qualify for the NCAA Division II National Championships in Hershey, Pa.
