KENOSHA, Wis. (Apr. 29, 2013)-- Jake Wisniewski shared top individual honors guiding the University of Wisconsin-Parkside men's golf squad to a team title at the Ranger Spring Invitational held at the Kenosha Country Club on Monday.
Wisniewski shot a 75 to pace the field, tying for first place with Carthage College's Dominico Madrigrano. The Rangers'
Keith Buntrock and
Brian Krupo tied for fourth, both carding a 77 while
Nick Corban was eighth, shooting a round of 79. Competing as individuals. UW-P's
Mack Wallace tallied a ninth place showing (80) while
Jake Knuese and
Matt Kelly tied for 13th after shooting an 82.
Five teams competed at the invite but only three compiled a team score. UW-Parkside blew away the field, shooting a 308, finishing 32 strokes ahead of runner-up College of Lake County. Milwaukee School of Engineering was third, finishing with a team tally of 352.
The Rangers return to action next Monday, hosting the NCAA Division II Super Regional at The Club at Strawberry Creek.
