The UW-Parkside wrestling team won its first of two home dual meets this season. The Rangers out-wrestled UW-Oshkosh, 30-18, in the DeSimone Gymnasium Wednesday night.
Luke Rynish, ranked No. 1 in NCAA Division II at 174 pounds, had the only Ranger pin, terminating his match in 1:04.
A hotly contested match saw Titan Sam Engelland, a two-time NCAA Division III national qualifier, edge Ryan Woods, 4-3, in double overtime in the 184-pound bout.
The Rangers second and final home dual meet of the season will be Wednesday, Feb. 2, versus UW-Whitewater. The Sake Bottle will be on the line in a 7:00 p.m. dual.
