Alen Osmanovic returns to UW-Parkside, where he played from 2003-2005, to help assist Head Coach Jason Zitzke. He will be joining the Rangers coaching staff for the 2011 season.
Osmanovic is 31st on the men's soccer all-time scoring list with 44 points. He was named the team and offensive MVP in 2005. He was also a team captain and named to the GLVC's All-Academic in 2003.
Osmanovic is a native of Bosnia who grew up in Germany before moving to the United States in 2000. While in Germany he played for FC 08 Homburg.
After his career ended at Parkside he went on to play three seasons professionally with the Milwaukee Wave and one season with the Chicago Storm.
He has been a Wisconsin Youth Soccer Coach for eight years working for clubs such as: Racine Soccer Club, Mequon United, and Brookfield Soccer Association.
