Rangers Deliver National-Caliber Marks, Shatter Records in California

AZUSA, Calif. — Bryan Clay Invitational proved to be a historic weekend for Parkside Track and Field, as the Rangers delivered a series of record-breaking performances and nationally relevant marks against one of the deepest fields in the country.

Leading the way was Johanna Ebert, who reset her own school record in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a time of 10:22.50, a mark that now ranks third in NCAA Division II this season. Ebert also added a strong showing in the 1500 meters, clocking 4:28.81 in the Open A section.

The 800 meters saw a remarkable sequence of events for the Rangers. Cayton Cratch opened the day by breaking the school record in the event with a time of 1:48.74, placing first in the Open A section. Just hours later, Doug Martin surpassed that mark in the invitational section, finishing in 1:48.63. Following the weekend, Martin sits 13th nationally, while Cratch ranks 15th in Division II. Martin also turned in a strong performance in the 1500 meters, crossing in 3:48.26, with Cratch adding a 3:57.52 effort in the same event. Amadeo Cortes contributed a 1:54.66 finish in the 800 meters.

On the hurdles side, Michael Hendrix continued his standout season, breaking the school record in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 51.25, a mark that currently ranks sixth in NCAA Division II. Hendrix also competed in the 110-meter hurdles, while Mate Pesti posted a 14.63 in the same event and added a 13.05m effort in the triple jump.

Parkside's sprint group delivered multiple strong performances, highlighted by Anna Snorek, who set a new school record in the 200 meters with a time of 24.77. Snorek also ran 56.44 in the 400 meters. In the 100 meters, Mayda Conrad posted a 12.71, while on the men's side, Ian Liburd led the way with times of 10.65 in the prelims and 21.33 in the 200 meters. Jaylan Nelson added marks of 10.96 and 22.08, while Jadon Rose recorded 11.23 in the 100 meters.

The women's 4x100 relay team of Conrad, Snorek, Essence Burrows, and Rachel Blaskowski made history, breaking a 30+ year-old school record with a time of 47.30. Individually, Burrows also impressed in the horizontal jumps, recording 5.55m in the long jump and 11.56m in the triple jump. Blaskowski added a 5.39m mark in the invitational long jump.

In the field events, Carson Hull highlighted the men's performances with a second-place finish in the javelin at 51.82m, while also competing in the long jump. Ariel Molina cleared 1.83m in the high jump, and on the women's side, Nailah Taylor posted a 1.64m clearance in the invitational high jump.

Distance events also saw key contributions, as Abbi Steiner recorded times of 4:41.60 in the 1500 meters and 17:01.30 in the 5000 meters.

With multiple school records, national top-15 marks, and a historic relay performance, the Rangers put together one of their most impactful meets of the outdoor season against elite competition.
